Pigskin leather is obtained from pigs or hogs. It is soft and supple leather
with very good durability. It is by far the most popular and versatile
leather, which is easily transformed into most current looks of fashion.
The pigskin when tanned on the outside produces smooth napa finish and
tanning inside results in a silky suede finish. The natural, lightweight of
the skin produces delicate patterns, textures and silky soft naps.
Suede made from the back portion of the skin gives a smooth, velvet
appearing suede. Suede made from the belly portion results in elongated
suede nap.
Pigskins are usually small, about 5 to 7 square feet and is sold by square
feet.
