important. It shows the pattern or trend of fabrics and its related items
being traded in the market. Comparing the movement of the product in past
few years, traders can budget their future sales.
The following table provides the data from the year 1999-2000 to 2004-05.
The data in the column of the year 2004-05 is provisional. The table clearly
shows the data of cotton/man-made fibres, the mills (spinning, composite and
weaving), the powerloom units, filaments, raw wool and silk, yarns, blended
fabrics and also the machineries.
