Butcher's Linen


Butcher's Linen Butcher's linen is a strong and heavy. It is stiff and made of plain weave linen fabric. It launders well and sheds dirt easily in wear. The fabric is exceptionally durable. The warp and weft of the fabric are uneven, thick and thin yarns.

Butcher's linen was originally made from linen but now it is created with cotton or manufactured fibbers. The term 'Butcher Linen' has also been used to describe cotton cloth. This fabric was originally used for French butchers' aprons.
