Cotton Polyester Fabric

Cotton polyester fabric as the name suggests is made by blending the
cotton that is a natural fabric and polyester that is the synthetic fabric. The blended fabric is mostly used to make formal dresses and garments. The percentage of cotton and polyester in cotton polyester fabric vary thus giving then different properties. The most general ratio of cotton polyester fabrics is 65% cotton and 35% polyester fabric.
While doing shopping you will come across different blended fabric and cotton polyester will be the most prominent and desired one. This is also called poly-cotton blend and it will have the properties of both the fabrics.
What is a Polyester Fabric?
Polyester is the synthetic or man made fabric that is made from air, water, coal and petroleum. It is a wrinkle free fabric that is very strong and retains its shape for a longer period of time.
Polyester fabric does not near the high temperature so ironing at high of medium range is not preferred. Hot iron will cause the burning or melting of the polyester. Along with this it can be colored or dyed very easily and does not shrink. These properties make it a perfect choice in the garment industry.
What is a Cotton Fabric?
Cotton as all of us knows is the natural fabric that is made from the cotton fiber. Cotton is very soft to touch and a breathable fabric. Because of this you will feel warm in winters and cool in summer by wearing clothes made from cotton. Cotton also has the property to absorb moisture from your body thus keeps you comfortable during humid summers. Color retaining capability of
cotton fabric is less than that of polyester and also it is prone to wrinkles and shrinkage. But if we talk about temperature then you can iron it on medium temperature.
Advantages of Cotton Polyester Fabric
